VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteers play a vital role in helping the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust implement its mission. We welcome adults, youth, school field trips, and corporate groups to be part of our growing volunteer team.
Volunteer Opportunities
LAND STEWARDSHIP AND RESTORATION
Join our stewardship team and volunteer community as we care for and restore the natural habitat for plants and animals, including tree planting, seed collecting, and invasive plant removal on our preserves. Open to ages 14+. The locations vary around Ozaukee & Washington County. Sign up on our events calendar!

MILWAUKEE VOLUNTEERING
Join our new partner organization, River Revitalization Foundation, down in Milwaukee for stewardship and restoration volunteering on the Milwaukee River Greenway. Meet at RRF (2134 N Riverboat Rd.) unless otherwise noted. Sign up here!
FALL schedule:
last few Wednesdays 2-4pm,
weekly on Fridays 1pm-4pm
the first Saturday per month 9am-12pm.

GROUP VOLUNTEER WORK DAYS
Yes, we do offer volunteer group work days! Corporate groups, student groups, community groups, scouts, churches, we’re happy to work with you outside. Contact Catie, the Volunteer Coordinator (cpetralia@owlt.org) to schedule a work day. Please provide the following information in your email:

LAND PROTECTION
Assist with easement monitoring, data collection, and reports for our easement properties in Ozaukee and Washington County. Smart-phone required. Training is provided.
ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT
Join our staff and volunteer community at the OWLT office. Assist with event coordination, writing, office support, and visitor reception. Training is provided. The volunteer schedule is flexible Monday – Friday, excluding holidays.
WILDLIFE MONITORING
If you’re looking to spend time outdoors for just a few hours a week, be part of our team for wildlife and habitat monitoring to collect data on wildlife, plants, soil, and water on the preserves. Training is provided. Seasonal.
RYAN’S WORKSHOP
Assist our Stewardship Director with a variety of construction and maintenance projects on the preserves. Whether it is building a new boardwalk, installing new signs and kiosks, or tuning up equipment, your experience is welcome! Share your skills Monday - Friday, March – October.
