Located in the Town of Erin, WI, the Pavcek Preserve is 32 acres. The Pavcek Preserve is located within OWLT’s Holy Hill Project Area and has been actively sought since 2001 as part of the Holy Hill Forest Legacy Program (HHFLP). This preserve contains rolling hills and shallow valleys typically found in the Mid-Kettle Moraine region. The majority of the preserve is forested in upland hardwoods with some lowland hardwoods near wetland areas. The forest includes sugar maple, oak, hickory, basswood and ample woodland perennials. Its most prominent feature is an esker (glacially formed ridge) in the northeastern corner of the property which rises roughly 35’ from the forest floor.
