FREE Event, No Prior Experience Required
Join over 100 other river rats at one of 20 rendezvous sites around Wisconsin to help search for invasive species, including escaped and released aquarium and water garden plants that could choke our rivers and streams. After a species identification training, volunteers will visit a variety of sites from parks on large rivers to culverts on country roads spanning small trout streams. Whether you are comfortable wading into a river or searching from shore, there is a site for you.
Volunteers are needed! Dedicated local partners, including the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust and Washington County Land and Water Division seek your help!
This FREE includes a tote bag, boot brush, and refreshments!
Advanced registration is requested and will be open from July 13-August 14. For a complete listing of rendezvous sites and for registration information, visit: www.wisconsinrivers.org/events
