Mayhew Preserve

Located in the Town of Farmington, WI, Mayhew Preserve is 71 acres. This preserve contains upland forests, lowland hardwood forests, conifer plantations, upland meadows, shrub carr and wetlands. Additionally, almost 700 feet of the northeast portion borders the Milwaukee River. Sandhill cranes forage in the meadows and migratory birds routinely use this preserve as a rest stop. Not only are birds routinely seen here, but fish such as the Longear Sunfish, Greater Redhorse, Lake Sturgeon and Northern Pike can be viewed. Pets on leash welcome.
