Giving Tuesday

Preserve it!  Protect it!  Pass it On!

Some gifts last a lifetime…  Some gifts last forever…

Thanks to the generosity of our board of directors, we can match–dollar-for-dollar–the donations of our members from November 1 through December 31, 2017 up to $25,000 in honor of our 25th year.

Your gift of $50 doubles to $100 to spend on tree planting. A gift of $125 gives us $250 to keeping our 32 preserves, free and open to the public! Doubling your donation and doubling our impact on our land and water!

Double Your December Gift

All of us so proudly affiliated with Ozaukee Washington Land Trust – staff, Board members, members, and more – have 15,000 reasons to celebrate today! Why, you ask?

Ozaukee Washington Land Trust has been gifted an inspiring holiday surprise: one of our very generous longtime supporters and former Board members has presented us with a $15,000 gift match opportunity! That’s right – because of this supporter’s generosity AND yours, we could turn $15,000 into $30,000!

These extraordinary opportunities don’t often arise, and when they do, we need to take full advantage.

Now, here’s the catch: we have until the end of 2018 to match $15,000 leadership gift. Only 12 days! We’re guessing you might be busy of the next few days with cookies to bake, gifts to wrap, and time to spend with loved ones in the outdoors. Accordingly, the time to invest is now – and today, we ask you to join with us and make your best gift possible to help us maximize this truly extraordinary opportunity.

What can your gift of $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000, or more really do? Glad you asked. The very short answer: A LOT!

Your tax deductible donation is the key to our success. And, thanks to the inspiring gift match shared with us, you can double your impact for our conservation of our precious land and water!

  • Your gift of $50 actually doubles to $100 and plants two trees.
  • Your gift of $100 now provides $200 for removal of destructive invasive plant species like garlic mustard or buckthorn.
  • Your gift of $250 becomes $500 for restoration or creation of wildlife habitat.
  • Your gift of $500 is a powerful $1,000 in our fight to improve water quality in our two counties.
  • Your gift of $1,000 is transformed into $2,000 – and can help build trails, provide access for all, and maintain our 32 nature preserves as free and open to the public, forever.
  • Your gift of $2,500 will now be $5,000, and protect farmland for future generations to farm.

OWLT Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is Tuesday, November 27th. Mission-based organizations nationwide will use this focused day of giving as an opportunity to engage friends, supporters, and partners and invite them to make an impact through their investment.

At OWLT, we will do the same — and we’re excited to reveal our fundraising mission for our “Giving STEW-day”…

Raise $12,000 to purchase our Stewardship Trailer in 2019!

Our “Stew Crew” is truly an extraordinary bunch, caring for our 32 nature preserves and 52 conservation easements. We know stewarding those land and water resources across two counties is a profound commitment, and our Stewardship Team of Ryan, Josh, Christine, Rachelle, Halley, and Maggie deliver each and every day. We’re proud of them, and we’re proud to provide them with the equipment they need to do their job well. This Stewardship Trailer will be a big help, allowing them to haul more tools and equipment to work sites and maximize their time in the field.

Your gift on Giving Tuesday will be an investment in our Stewardship Team and their critical conservation work. Each and every time they take the trailer with them out in the field, your investment will pay dividends. Together, we improve water quality, protect scenic lands, preserve public access, and restore wildlife habitat!

We are all stewards in protecting and preserving our most special places. YOU are the impact!

Please join us and make a tax-deductible gift this Giving Tuesday – Tuesday, November 27th. If you have any questions or want to learn more about our OWLT Giving STEW-day, please contact Tom Mlada, OWLT Director of Development, at .

Once more, on behalf of our OWLT Team, THANK YOU for all you do! We are truly grateful for your partnership with, advocacy for, and investment in our conservation mission.
