About the campaign

GivingTuesday is on Tuesday, December 3rd. Ozaukee Washington Land Trust is participating in this global generosity movement as an opportunity to engage friends, supporters, and partners and invite them to make an impact through their investment in our mission of supporting farming.

This year, with the support of our 1,000 members Ozaukee Washington Land Trust is putting Wisconsin’s farming and conservation traditions to work as part of our mission of conserving land, water and working soils.

A recent farming partnership Making Allies for Healthier Communities has brought together Ozaukee Washington Land Trust, MMSD, Fondy Food Center, and Land Trust Alliance to protect a 60-acre farm in Mequon. This partnership is working to identify and equip underrepresented farmers with resources to become first-time farmland owners, create long-term land access for other farmers, all while improving farming practices to protect and improve water quality in the Little Menomonee River and eventually Lake Michigan.

On #GivingTuesday (December 3, 2019) we are asking our members and the community to join us in giving thanks for the farmers who put food on our table while preserving our rural Wisconsin heritage and bolstering our local economies. On #GivingTuesday we hope to raise $12,500 and thanks to the support of The Thomas J. Rolfs Foundation your gift will be tripled.

That’s right! Every dollar you give will be multiplied to push us toward our $12,500 goal on December 3rd to support farming through #GivingTuesday!

$25 will be matched to become $75, $50 becomes $150 and $100 becomes $300.

We ask you to join with us by investing in this far-reaching and sustainable farm conservation campaign.
Please join us and make a tax-deductible gift this #GivingTuesday – Tuesday, December 3rd. If you have any questions or want to learn more about our project, please contact Tom Stolp, Executive Director at to 262-338-1794.
