Project-specific Giving

Hey, where's the trailer?

You can expand the impact of our work with a gift for our OWLT Stewardship Trailer!

You’ve helped us preserve some very special and significant places – and we could really use your help with our continued caretaking of them.

We’re very grateful for your past support. With the generous investment of friends and supporters like you, over the past 25 years Ozaukee Washington Land Trust has been able to protect:

  • 32 Nature Preserves
  • 52 Conservation Easements
  • Nearly 7,000 acres of land!

These 7,000 acres encompass some of the most unique features that etch our Ozaukee and Washington County communities into our minds forever – from the Kettle Moraine landscapes to our signature rivers and streams. Keeping this land pristine and protected for future generations is core to our collective mission.

Protecting and maintaining the land entrusted to us is a responsibility we take seriously, but we can’t do it without you and we can’t do it without the proper tools. Recently, we were able to purchase a truck for use by our Stewardship Team members. We’re enormously proud of these very talented team members and the amazing work they do, and our first-ever OWLT pickup truck sure makes a difference in their efforts. The truck allows them to reach more remote places and operate more efficiently in monitoring water quality, conducting needed restoration work and controlling invasives. We’re excited about that truck purchase, to say the least!

While the truck is a wonderful start…as the pictures below will attest, something is still missing. You see, we need a trailer for that pickup truck! A basic enclosed trailer will allow our Stewardship Team members to be more efficient and mobile, and when they’re working on our preserves and easements across our two counties.

Will you please help us? We need to raise $12,000 for this valuable stewardship asset. We’re 25% of the way there, with over $3,000 raised already. Our goal is to raise enough to purchase the trailer this winter in time to prepare it for use in 2019 to improve the very special land we protect and preserve.

Our OWLT Executive Director, Tom Stolp, and I have made the first two $100 gifts to launch this “Trailer Campaign.” Will you consider matching our individual $100 gifts with your own? Please know we will be genuinely grateful for your tax-deductible gift, in any amount. As always, every dollar makes a difference!

Once more, thank you for your past support of Ozaukee Washington Land Trust, and in advance, thank you for your investment now in our work, our mission, and our people! Together, we are a part of conservation that will last forever.

P.S. Check out these great photos below! We are proud of our Team – what a good-looking group! Only thing that would make the photos look better would be a trailer on the back of that OWLT truck…
