Hunting Policy and Guidelines
- OWLT encourages hunting on its lands whenever possible. OWLT will determine the type of hunting, and the conditions under which it is allowed, for each property based on public safety and the objectives for each property’s use and management. These objectives are outlined in each property’s management plan.
- All State of Wisconsin hunting regulations and rules apply. Please note that this does not substitute for registering your deer with the State of Wisconsin per the State hunting regulations and rules. You must also register your deer with the State of Wisconsin.
- All properties will have posted signs with site specific language:
- No Hunting or Hunting by permission only (OWLT permit letter required)
- Length and time of season
- OWLT contact number
- OWLT will choose hunters based upon their volunteer hours served as of September 1. A limited number of hunters will be chosen through a lottery-style drawing.

- OWLT has the right to revoke hunting privileges of any individual without prior notice.
